Installation view, 2019
Our memory is formed by what we live through – is it not? Or is it rather formed by feelings, stories and images that we see which aren’t necessarily our own? Some people claim: some things can not be unseen.. I claim: they can be forgotten, but they leave a trace in your memory.
„Collective MEMORY“ is formed by analog pictures which different people around the world take for me. Most of the times I give them a disposable camera that they have to return. The pictures they bring back to me are my memories now, too. But: By looking at them, they become your memories as well.
